"Joshuah Wellington IV: Duke of Antartica"

Duke Josh is one of The Holy Grind's closest collaborators. Josh is often called grind's right hand man. He serves as the Head of Security of The Holy Grind, Editor in Chief of The Monthly Grind Magazine and Summer Regent.

Biography

Joshuah is of Franco-Albanian decent, born some time between 91 and 94 AD. Very early, Josh studies the arcane arts and various esotherical crafts. By the 120s, Joshuah focuses his research on obtaining immortality. Attending congregations of all matters of antique savants, he works tirelesly towards obtaining lichdom. Sometime between 122 and 124 AD, Joshuah dissapears into the Armorican Mountains Chain. The site of the unholy ritual was later identified in the 1970s as "La Roche d'Öetre" in Normandy. Upon his return to Lutetia in 125, now a skeletal lich, Joshuah then wanders the world endlessly exploring all 7 continents in search of knowledge and artefacts. Quickly bored, Josh tends to not stay in one place and roams for the next few centuries, seldom settling in one place for more than a few months. In February 2022, coinciding with the Russian Security Operation in Ukraine, Joshuah transformed into a black goat. He now reeks of sulfur and has achieved the ability to perform planar transfphasing.

Josh and The Grind

Although it is widely believed that Joshuah met The Holy Grind for the first time on the darkest hour of the darkest night of the Year of our Lord 2019, where he, on the tallest tower of the Old Fortress, offered his services and pledged allegiance to The Holy Grind. Their first official meeting was actually at a nearby workhouse where Josh worked as a foreman for the season. Soon, Joshuah moved into the lower levels of the fortress where he established a laboratory and became the official tormentor of the punishment box. Joshuah made his home at the Old Fortress, where he lives to this day. Since their handshake, Josh's loyalty to the grind has remained unquestionable.

     After playing an important role in the defence of The Holy Grind and it's military actions against the Empire from 2020-2021, Josh created The Holy Grind Department of Peace and Nuclear Annihilation. Due to his experience in counter espionnage and his role as part of the secret police, the position as Head of P.A.N.A. was only natural. This department was created specifically to re-centralize the command structure of The Holy Grind's different intelligence agencies. This was done in an effort to speed up reaction time and improve coordination between the different branches of our security forces. Operational secrecy has remained intact since the start of P.A.N.A's operations. 

Since March 2021, Josh edits The Monthly Grind Magazine with his Assistant-editor JFSdragonfire all year round. Acting as our primary propaganda outlet, the magazine is distributed both abroad and domestically . During the summer, when The Holy Grind goes to wage war or on vacation beyond the sea, Duke Josh takes the position of seasonal regent to rule and watch over the Server.   In the case where The Holy Grind would perish, Duke Josh is to take regency of the server and assist Clyde until the Crown-prince is of age to rule alone.
